Somewhere in Milaor, Camarines Sur, there lived a fourth grader boy who would follow this route to school everyday:
He has to cross the rugged plains and cross the dangerous highway where vehicles are recklessly
driving to and from.
Once past this highway, the boy would take a short cut, passing by the Church every morning just to say Hi to God, and faithfully say his, "Magandang umaga po" in Bicol dialect. He was faithfully being watched
by a Priest who was happy to find innocence so uplifting in the morning,
"Kamusta, Andoy? Papasok ka na?"
"Opo padre ... "
he would flash his innocent grin, the priest would be touched. He was so concerned that one day he talked to Andoy.
"From school...", he advised "Do not cross the highway, you can pass through the Church and I can accompany you to the other side of the road ...that way I can see that you are home safe...."

On Fire life lessons
things i have learned so far this year:
- sometimes, you just have to let 'em go.
- everything takes time.
- people are always going to be crooked liars who cheat to get ahead, don't join 'em. it is more rewarding to do it the honest way.
- popularity contests are what matter: not.
- 'best friends' do not exist and applying that word is only setting yourself up for disaster.
- first loves die hard.
- sex really is not as big a deal as everyone always tries to imply it is.
- it is okay to get angry and let it out, keeping it in does no one any good.
- sometimes, you simply need to reinvent yourself and love who you are.
- be a duck, let it roll of your back. it gets them angrier and you get to walk away laughing.
- confront people in person with real words and stare them in the eye; it is not impossible.
- there is no such thing as addiction, it is all about will-power. get some.
- sometimes you gotta do what you wanna do, because if not, people will always try to control you.
